Friday Favorites


Hi Friends! On Fridays I’m going to be rounding up some of my favorite foodie finds from the week. Also some non-foodie things because sometimes we (me!) need a break from that! How was your week? My week has been a little more hectic than usual, but definitely in a good and exciting way! I’m on a seemingly never ending quest to be fluent in Spanish, so I’m waking up early to Skype with a Spanish teacher in Nicaragua before work. Every morning we have a nice little chat about nutrition, culture, and our mutual disgust for Donald trump. I also have a few new career opportunities on the horizon so we will see how that pans on. But first, some blog lovin!

  1. Thanks so much for sharing my Lentil Tacos in your round-up! So cool you are working on improving your Spanish. My daughter is taking her 3rd year of Spanish, and, when I try to help her, I can’t believe how much I can’t remember from high school. Sigh….Have a wonderful weekend!

  3. Heather, I love this roundup, what fun! I just signed up for your email newsletter too. I’m especially loving ‘Why You Shouldn’t Quit Sugar’ and ‘Take Your ****ing Lunch Break.” (Also your comment to stay home when you’re sick–nobody wants the germs, right? 😉 ) Perusing this was a great break from working on my personal statements for the RD internship application. I’m guessing you know just how much fun that process is, or at least the MS/RD equivalent!

    Also, a side note on your homepage profile: I’ve been plant-based for years now and I LOVE what I eat, but I still totally miss bacon. (What the heck, right?!)
